Two New "Titanic" Miniseries!

I'm not going to lie. I am so excited! Two miniseries are going to air in 2012, aptly, considering April 14th is the 100th anniversary of the ship's sinking!

The first, a four part miniseries following the ill fated voyage of the Titanic is being produced by ITV/ABC. The cast is full of familiar faces such as Maria Doyle Kennedy (The Tudors and Downton Abbey) as well as Linus Roache, Deraldine Somerville, and Celia Imrie. It is written by Julian Fellowes, who also wrote Downton Abbey.

There are a few trailers out on youtube, one linked below:

The second is titled Titanic: Blood and Steel. It is being produced by the BBC, and has a very large budget. Hopefully that means it will be good (the title isn't doing it for me at the moment). It will be 12 episodes and features the talents of Chris Noth, who will be playing JP Morgan. The film will follow the Titanic's creation, not its famous sinking. I must admit I'm intrigued.

There isn't a ton of info on it yet, but here's a link to some behind the scenes pics.

I will post more as more info. becomes available!
